The outside tables are usually the go for a quick lunch during the day, a coffee or people watching but it’s worth delving deeper with a trip inside.

You’re greeted with a chill ambience and smooth jazz riffs as you sit to soak it all in…. Side note… checkout these chairs! So comfy and they have a timeless scandi style that beckons.

The menu is, on the surface, what you’d expect from a restaurant called Grill Steak Seafood, but somehow the meals themselves are unexpectedly wonderful, warm, generous.

As usual I over ordered. The prawns were perfectly cooked and flavours well balanced. And as for my steak - I’m hard pressed to remember a steak I’ve had as good as this. I literally cut it with my fork.

Dessert! I had a little taste of the tiramisu, then a little more and some more… then a tiramisu break with a piccolo… and back to the tasting. I also may have ordered a Toblerone cocktail, and accidentally another one.

It’s a top vibe with a slick team that seamlessly works together to make magic happen without fuss.
