Guten tag, Oktoberfest lovers!!!

As someone who hosts Oktoberfest and German events around Australia each year, I've put together this guide to help you find somewhere to celebrate in 2026. I'll continue updating it as new events are announced.

The official Oktoberfest in Munich runs from 19 September to 4 October 2026, but Australians have never been particularly good at knowing when the party is supposed to stop.

Across Australia, Oktoberfest celebrations continue throughout October, so for this guide we're declaring 31 October 2026 the unofficial end of Australia's Oktoberfest season.

From huge Oktoberfest festivals and German clubs to regional celebrations, breweries, pubs and community events, here's where you can raise a stein around Australia between 19 September and 31 October 2026.

Hofbräuhaus Melbourne | 58th Oktoberfest, Melbourne CBD | 19 September–31 October. Celebrating its 58th Oktoberfest with six weeks of festivities, imported German beer, German food, live music Thursday–Sunday, competitions and Saturday celebrations.
Official German Oktoberfest Melbourne | Hofbräuhaus | 7 October. A separate official event hosted by the Honorary Consulate General of Germany in Melbourne and the German-Australian Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

Carrington Hotel Oktoberfest | Katoomba | 24 October. Inspired by the traditional Bavarian festival and our love of great beer, Oktoberfest at The Carrington is one of the Blue Mountains’ most anticipated annual celebrations.
Wallarobba Hall Octoberfest | Dungog region | 3 October. A smaller community event offering a fun filled day of German Food, Sweets, Local beer and cider by the Tin Shed.

Rhein-Donau Club Oktoberfest | Perth | 2–31 October. It runs every Friday and Saturday night in October: 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30 and 31 October. The club describes it as WA's longest-running authentic Oktoberfest, with two beer halls, German food, music, dancing and traditional entertainment.
